Connecting H.O.P.E. is a workforce development program designed to help non-custodial parents with court ordered child support secure stable employment and establish a regular pattern of support payments.

Connecting H.O.P.E. recruited OCHR to provide award-winning co-parenting education and support.  OCHR’s co-parenting strategies, coaching and curriculum improves program performance and better positions participants to secure stable employment and maintain Income Withholding Orders (IWO).

What does the program actually provide?

Virtual group workshops Tuesday–Friday, 10:00–11:30 AM, covering orientation, employment readiness, resume building, interview prep, conflict resolution, co-parenting communication, parenting skills, and job search strategies.

Week 1:

One-on-one services, including finalizing an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) with an Employment Specialist, case management and barrier assessment, and connection to family/parenting support through our partner OCHR (Our Children Have Rights).

Connecting H.O.P.E. Program

  • Connecting H.O.P.E. (Healing, Opportunity, Perseverance, Empowerment) is a workforce development program designed specifically for parents in the State of Florida on child support — fathers and mothers who want to get back on their feet, find steady work, and show up stronger for their children.

    We help remove the barriers standing between our participants and stable employment, including support with job readiness, child support navigation, and family stability.

  • Once enrolled, participants join a two-week program cycle.

    Week 1: Virtual group workshops Tuesday–Friday, 10:00–11:30 AM, covering orientation, employment readiness, resume building, interview prep, conflict resolution, co-parenting communication, parenting skills, and job search strategies.
